What a weekend!

Friday evening we hit up our new and very local Trader Joe's in Princeton. Had to work that day and get everything together to move the in-laws. We arrived at TJ's at 8:30pm and the sight greeted us... yup opened not even 12 hours and they've lost the "e" in Joe's. So now they are "Trader Jos" to me. No idea who Jos is but I figure Joe was just too lazy to handle all the excited central Jersey shoppers. Yes, a new store is considered excitement, especially when the next closest TJ's are about 45-60 minutes away by car. Now it's only 15-20 minutes! But not close enough for Nick who thinks convenience means that you should be able to "pop" over their for something in the midst of a party and be back so quickly no one missed you. Maybe he's got a point...

On Saturday we got ourselves involved in some major moving. The in-laws (sister, mother and step-dad) were moving from their house in NJ and the parents were moving stuff from their house in Georgia too. Gregg arrived in NJ on Thursday with a pretty full U-haul and unloaded it on Friday into the new house. Fast forward to Saturday morning where Nick and I hooked up a trailer to the Edge and made our way down with a wardrobe for them. My brother-in-law, Erik (Gregg's son) and my father-in-law met us down there.

After many hours of moving furniture and boxes we filled the U-Haul twice and there was still stuff leftover! While unpacking the U-Haul we followed strict instructions as to where boxes went based on how they were labeled. After quite a few boxes we realized that my mother-in-law had quite a few boxes to her name... all those white labels say "Joan's Shelf" and we already moved a dozen of them onto Joan's shelf in the garage. After about 11 hours of moving, all the big stuff was done, but Nick and I were no where near done. We had to take a couch back up to my father-in-law's house on the trailer in the rain. That was a good trick but we did it and survived!
