This is (unfortunately) not my puppy.

Introducing ... Brie. Adorable Brie is the brand new 9 week old fur baby of Chris and Amanda (best man at our wedding and his lady love). We were fortunate enough to meet Brie this past weekend and not only is she cute but she's smart too. In the same trip we had a second chance to indulge ourselves at L & L Hawaiian Barbecue and enjoy their delicious Kalua pork and lau lau.

K. I. T.T. is back!

I was channel surfing about a week ago and came across Knight Rider - I seriously just about lost it. I grew up worshiping David Hasselhoff and the talking car, K. I. T. T. and now they're back! It turns out it was a NBC "movie event" - whatever that means.

When I came across the event it was smack in the middle and thankfully they replayed it this past weekend and I was able to DVR it. It was amazing. K. I. T. T. is now a Mustang and Ford had tons of product placement in the car scenes. I've determined that bad guys drive a Ford Edge and of course the cool guys drive Mustangs. The innocent drive everything else Ford makes.

If you missed Knight Rider you can catch it on your computer at your own leisure as NBC is streaming it from their website (just click on the hyperlink above).

The Purse Gods Sing With Praise

It's finally happened, Dooney & Bourke has crawled out of the pit of what-were-you-thinking handbags. I introduce to you the Rope collection...

I have a soft spot for Dooney and just love their bags, but when they started coming out with stuff like this:
I was ashamed at their design team. I know they try to target a younger crowd and by the looks of at least 3 of the 4 above handbags the target audience screams 3 year old girls who finger paint. The first bag isn't that bad - just not my style. Even the Hayden bag (the cheerleader from Heroes) is a little bleh to me but it was the foothold that began the rise out of the design rut at D&B. So welcome back Dooney & Bourke.

Oh Kauai How I Miss Thee...

Another rough day at work. I need a vacation but can't take any until March due to big project I'm involved with at work. I doubt we'll go as far or as tropical as good ol' Kauai but I'll take anything right now over sitting in my cube.

Testing

1... 2... 3... I had some trouble setting up mobile blogging by myself. Let's hope the kind people at Blogger got this working.

Meet Marie and bendy Valentine's kitty. My cousins, Victoria and Catherine were up for a visit and these two were the bring-along-toys of choice. Nick and I always have a great time with the girls and are privy to some pretty hilarious kid moments.

Target is stalking me...

The other day I got my March issue of InStyle. As I browsed my shiny new magazine I noticed an insert for Target (with rare and covetable coupons). I flipped the insert to it's back side and saw this...
The coupon knew my name! I have no idea how magazines get made but I do know that amongst the hundreds of pages some miracle had to be coordinated for the label on the cover of the magazine to match up with this stalker-like message inside on page 175 or something. On top of that, not only did it know me, but it told me where my nearest Target is located. Doesn't it know - I know that? I guess if it knew I knew then it'd be scary. This crazy marketing concept is very cool, yet very creepy at the same time. I'd love to see the technology behind it.

I am the next American Idol ... too

I just started watching today's American Idol episode on the DVR and I still don't get it. Why are so many people so extremely jaded?

I can't sing. I know it and I avoid singing in front of others. The only person subjected to the torture is my husband and he's bound by law to deal with it.

Lincoln Logs Will Do Just Fine

These past couple of weeks has been a major aggravation living at our apartment. Our place is pretty good but it all broke down with the neighboring multi-family dwelling getting renovations done. The first strike happened when I got home and my parking spot was just about blocked by renovation debris. After a bazillion point turn I finally got into my parking spot. Strike 2 happened the next day. I came home and there was even more debris and no way I could even get into my spot. Lucky for me, hubby checked on the debris situation during the day and made arrangements for me to park in front of our house in our landlord's driveway. (Thanks hon!).

Today was another story. I am very grumpy in the morning and I just need to make it to work and begin sipping my coffee and I'm good. But when you go out at 7:15 in the morning expecting to hop in the car and go and a van is totally blocking your car and just about everyone else - the cranky level goes through the roof. Lucky for me, the electrician (who the van belonged to) was just inside the dwelling and moved his van, still making it difficult as I had to back down the driveway rather than my usual method and on top of it I was later than usual. Bah humbug.

So I am thinking about heading to Target to get me a new home ... hey it's cheap and there is a credit crisis.

But seriously I need a dwelling to call my own by Christmas - wish me luck.
