We think it happened before we even bought the house and is probably because the outlets are old (I wanted to replace all the outlets before because of color and now more to sleep at night as not to worry of fire hazards). So Nick needs to do some electrical work this weekend.

I didn't know Nick could do electrical work. I'm impressed!
He does pretty well. He's wired the entire house with CAT 6 ethernet and cable for tv, he's rewired the switches in every room and replaced several outlets. I was skeptical but now it's old hat since the house is still standing. Now if he could just get a handle on taping when painting...
